KENNEDY’S EPUBLISHING

Write your best book

“Writing a book is an adventure. To begin with, it is a toy and an amusement; then it becomes a mistress, and then it becomes a master, and then a tyrant. The last phase is that just as you are about to be reconciled to your servitude, you kill the monster, and fling him out to the public.” — Winston Churchill
I’m passionate about helping you fulfil your dream of becoming a published author.
My business is building books. I’m an award winning writer, editor and experienced publisher writer with 25 years of experience and a brilliant team of designers and layout artists.
Publishing a book is a complex process that requires a wide range of expertise. Publishing a book is comparable to building a house. Building a house and writing a book are two of the most difficult but ultimately rewarding tasks that you can undertake in life.
Both need an initial investment of time and money and both offer long-term rewards.
Once you have built your home, you can live, rent free, for years to come. If you employ professional architects and reputable builders, you won’t be plagued with leaking roofs, rising damp endless or other costly and irritating repairs.
Similarly, if your book is professionally published you can earn a steady income from your book for years to come. If you employ experts, you won’t be embarrassed by a shabby cover or endless grammar mistakes and you can enjoy building a good reputation as a published author.

Kennedy’s ePublishing offers a fast, easy way to professionally publish your book.
Here’s just 3 reasons why Kennedy’s ePublishing is your best publishing option.
1. It gives you amazing reach.
Your book is available to billions of readers globally. With Kennedy’s ePublishing your title is available to readers in US, Canada, UK, Germany, India, France, Italy, Spain, Japan, Brazil, Mexico, Australia and more.
2. Kennedy’s ePublishing helps you achieve financial freedom.
Residual or passive income is one of the keys to wealth. Once published, your book will earn royalties – on average 70% royalties!!!!
In traditional publishing, writers are usually paid on a royalty basis. Royalties are the amount of money that you earn from your book sales. Usually the royalty is calculated from the net sales, after discounts. They are usually pitifully small – on average between 5 -10%. That ends up being shockingly small change. Authors from traditional publishers rarely earn more than $1.50 per book on a $20 book. For example, a book that retails for $14.95 in the bookstore is usually discounted by 60% to the store chain, which pays only $9.97 to the publisher. An author’s 7.5 royalty adds up to a whopping 67 cents. The royalty road seldom leads to riches.
Kennedy’s ePublishing means that you earn on average 70% commission on the sales of your book, paid directly to your bank account. That means for every $10 your book sells, you earn $7.
3. Get to market fast. Because I work with an experienced team of designers and editors I can get your book to market fast. The editing, layout, cover design, writing of back cover blurb and publishing can be completed within 6 weeks.
As soon as your book is published it appears on Kindle stores worldwide within 24-48 hours.
4. You keep control. Keep control of your rights and set your own list prices. Make changes to your books at any time.
Once a publisher buys your title, it might never see the light of day. They might decide not to publish, in which case you have sold the rights to publish yourself. Not only that, but the publishers can decide to discontinue your title at any given time

The Kennedy ePublishing process
1. You deliver the manuscript and we agree on a deliver date
2. Your book is edited
Even if you don’t want to work with an editor while you write, you must, must get an editor to polish your manuscript before you publish it. Believe me, no matter how good you think you are at grammar, your manuscript will be full of errors that will inevitably be the first thing that you – and others – will notice, once it’s hot of the press.
Print on Demand companies tell authors that their fee includes editing, but it is generally of a very low standard and not worth the (usually expensive) price. And don’t count on friends (unless they are professional editors) and don’t think you can self-edit.
Your manuscript should go through three stages of editing: First, a rewrite that organises the structure of your material, spruces up the style and ensures a good tone; next a copy-edit that focuses on the nuts and bolts of grammar and consistent usage. Finally, one or two proof readings that checks the final manuscript.
Find an editor that you like. Editing is an intimate process. Offer to pay for a sample edit of a chapter or so to determine whether the editor can edit your work without changing your voice.
The editing process.
There are many stages involved in the book editing process that include proofreading, full editing and rewriting.
*A rewrite costs $0.05 per word.
* Copy-editing 0.4 per word
* Proofreading costs $0.1
The final edit is to degree of accuracy of 90%
Paying separately for each stage of the editing process is expensive.
I offer a 50% discount on a full editing service.
To calculate the total amount, multiply the number of words in your manuscript by $0.5
For example, a typical 40, 000 word manuscript would cost $2, 000 to edit

3. Your cover is designed
A good cover image assures potential readers that the author is a professional and is directly linked to sales.
Decide an image.
Commission an image (photography fee not included).
Decide cover lines
Write back cover blurb.

4. Write your author page on both Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk.
Each of these services require separate expertise. Individually priced this is a costly process.
I work with a team of expert designers and editors and can cut your costs.
The Kennedy Kindle Publishing package offers you the whole process, including rewriting, editing, proofreading, cover design, cover lines, back cover blurb, page numbering and layout for a fraction of the cost.
